一、将中文教育纳入更广泛的国民教育体系,从基础教育阶段开设汉语课程,让更多青少年尽早亲近这门古老而年轻的东方语言;
二、推动语言教育数字化转型,将AI辅助教学、数码化编码输入、智能评测引入课堂,用技术把学习成本降下来,把学习兴趣提上去;
三、构建"母语+国际通用语+一门东方语言"的多语教育格局,让汉语成为世界公民多元素养的组成部分;
四、深化汉语与各学科、各文明的融合教学,以语言为纽带,把中国的历史、科技、文学、哲学带进世界课堂,也把世界文明请进中国课堂;

—— With the wisdom of the ages, the bond of language, and a shared future for all humanity
To education ministries and departments around the world, schools of every level and kind, educators everywhere, and all who care about the future of human civilization:
Greetings.
Today, humanity stands at the crossroads of past and future. Behind us stretches the galaxy of five thousand years of civilization; ahead of us dawns the age of intelligence. With a vision that spans the ages and the boldness to share a bright tomorrow, we address this open letter to the world's education systems: let the Chinese language be the bridge, let it fuse rapidly with the languages of the world, let the time and cost of learning languages be reduced by 99 percent, and let a community with a shared future for mankind be truly bound together, word by word.
I. Looking Back Across the Ages: Chinese Has Always Been a Bridge Between Civilizations
For five thousand years, the Chinese language has journeyed from the incisions on oracle bones and the inscriptions on bronze vessels. When Cang Jie created the characters, grain fell from heaven and ghosts wailed at night; when the Qin state united the six kingdoms, one script was used throughout the land and one axle-width for all carriages — a single decision on a common script united Chinese civilization into the vastest commonwealth of the East. Along the Silk Road, camel bells rang across desert and sea as the Chinese language carried silk, porcelain, scriptures, and ideas to the world. Xuanzang journeyed west, Jianzhen crossed east, Zheng He sailed the oceans — and through all comings and goings, Chinese was always the bond of civilizational exchange.
In modern times, the Vernacular Movement, the Hanyu Pinyin scheme, and the adoption of simplified characters and the General Standard Chinese Characters Table — generation after generation of pioneers modernized, standardized, and internationalized the Chinese language with open minds. Today, Chinese is among the most widely spoken languages on Earth and is taught in the national education systems of more and more countries. History has shown us again and again: when a language goes global, it is not the conquest of a civilization but an invitation from one — not the expansion of a voice, but a calling card of understanding.
II. Facing the Present: Language Barriers Are a Cost We All Share
Yet we must also face reality: today, hundreds of millions of people around the world spend ten years of study and great sums of money to learn a single foreign language. Study abroad, international business, and academic exchange are all slowed by the chasm of language. Language, which should be a bridge, too often becomes an invisible wall.
This cost belongs not only to individuals but to all humanity — it slows the flow of knowledge, the blending of cultures, and the collaboration of science and technology, and it slows the journey of a community with a shared future for mankind from vision to reality. As the primary home of language teaching and transmission, the world's education systems should be the first to tear down this wall.
III. Looking to the Future: Technology Empowers — 99% Less Time and Cost in Learning Languages
Today, artificial intelligence, neural machine translation, and digital encoding are rewriting the fundamental logic of language learning. The Zheng-Fu digital code for Chinese characters, technical methods for Chinese characters to intercommunicate with other languages and scripts, AI simultaneous interpretation and intelligent language assistants, immersive smart classrooms — when form, sound, and meaning can be deconstructed digitally, when languages can intercommunicate in real time, and when teaching can be tailored to every learner, we have every reason to believe that within the coming decade the overall time and cost of learning a language will be reduced by 99 percent. This is no fantasy; it is the inevitable slope of technological progress.
Chinese is uniquely gifted in this transformation: its square characters are dense with information; form, sound, and meaning are united; and its yin–yang duality resonates naturally with digital technology. For Chinese to fuse rapidly with the world's languages is not for one to replace another, but for every language to be elevated through mutual intercommunication — so that Chinese becomes a shared resource of thought for humanity, and the languages of the world become reachable within the coordinate system of Chinese.
IV. A Solemn Appeal: We Ask the World's Education Systems to Take the Decisive Step
To this end, we solemnly appeal to education systems around the world:
First, bring Chinese-language education into the national curriculum more widely. Offer Chinese courses from the basic-education stage, so that more young people may come early to this ancient yet young language of the East.
Second, drive the digital transformation of language education. Bring AI-assisted teaching, digital-code input, and intelligent assessment into the classroom — use technology to lower the cost of learning and raise the joy of it.
Third, build a multilingual landscape of "mother tongue + international lingua franca + one Eastern language." Let Chinese become part of the multi-dimensional literacy of world citizens.
Fourth, deepen the integration of Chinese with every discipline and every civilization. With language as the bond, bring China's history, science, literature, and philosophy into classrooms around the world — and welcome the world's civilizations into China's classrooms in return.
Fifth, support the training of Chinese teachers and international cultural-exchange programs. Let more educators who understand Chinese, understand the world, and understand the future step onto the world's podiums.
V. A Shared Future: With the Vision of a Community with a Shared Future for Mankind, Turn Language into the Most Beautiful Poem
Language is the vessel of thought and the softest bond of a shared community. In advocating that Chinese go global, we seek not the expansion of a culture but the sharing of a civilization; not the contest for a louder voice, but the building of a platform for dialogue. We are willing, with Chinese as the bridge, to let every child embrace more languages at lower cost, to let every scholar travel freely between original texts and translations, and to let every civilization be understood, respected, and celebrated.
Today's appeal is not for the benefit of any single nation or people, but for the shared future of all humanity. May the education systems of the world walk with us — with the wisdom that spans the ages and the boldness that faces the future — and turn "language," humanity's oldest subject, into the most moving chapter of a community with a shared future for mankind.
Sincerely,
